Over 100 million dollars has been awarded in a lawsuit after the collapse of a retaining wall at a job site in Western North Carolina. The incident left three members of a masonry crew injured and killed another.
The collapse left five workers trapped, one was able to escape. First responders arrived and were able to rescue three of the workers. Another man identified as 37 year old, Marcelino Rendon Hernandez was found dead under the rubble.
The jury awarded a total of 101 million to the plaintiffs after a six week trial.
