Pedestrian dead after being hit by tractor trailer

The Highway Patrol reports there was another pedestrian fatality Monday night just after 8PM in Greenville County. Corporal Joe Hovis reports a pedestrian was in the roadway on 385 Southbound about a mile south of Fountain Inn and was struck by a 2020 Freightliner tractor trailer and died at the scene. The name of the victim has not yet been released. There was no mention of any charges involving this collision.
