A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a train in the Upstate, Thursday night. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to the railroad tracks behind Spartanburg Day School just before 8PM.
Upon arrival deputies found a pedestrian that had been hit by a Norfolk Southern train. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Office says there are no indication of foul play involved.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has not released the identity of the deceased, as of the time of this report.
