The Highway Patrol reports a pedestrian was killed in a hit & run collision in Greenville, Wednesday. It happened Just after 6:30PM,when two pedestrians were crossing North Pleasantburg Drive near Montebello Drive, when one of them was struck by two vehicles.

Both vehicles involved fled the scene. The Greenville County Coroner's Office says 48 year old Ruthann Marie Mennix died at the scene. The other pedestrian was not injured. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
No description of the vehicles has been released. The Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner's Office are continuing their investigation into the collision.
