The pedestrian who was killed in a crash in Greenville County, early Wednesday morning has been identified. The Greenville County Coroner's Office has identified the deceased as 37 year old, Brett Whitney of Greenville.
As we previously reported, the crash happened on Highway 291 near Impact Drive, just after 4:30AM. Whitney was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say a Ford Van hit Whitney first and then a pick up truck also struck him and fled the scene.
Officials say, the hit and run driver has been located, however no charges been filed at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
