Piedmont Natural Gas to do routine maintenance in Greenville

Greenville residents should not be alarmed if they notice tall flames and increased noise in the coming days. Piedmont Natural Gas says it will be doing routine infrastructure maintenance in the 300 block of Garlington Road just off of Woodruff Road.

Piedmont's operation will include the use of a large vertical pipe called a flare stack. The stack could produce loud noise, the smell of natural gas and large visible flames. The work is set to begin Thursday May 5th and run through next Friday May 12th. Piedmont wants residents to be aware of the ongoing work so there isn't undue concerns or unnecessary calls to 911.
