A deadly weekend shooting in the Upstate has one police department searching for answers. The Spartanburg Police Department responded to a home on Farley Avenue Saturday morning and found a man on the floor suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim identified, as 58 year old Allen Lewis Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene. The Spartanburg Police Department is investigating the fatal incident and is hoping potential witnesses or others with information will come forward.
Major Art Littlejohn says, that investigators do not believe the shooting was a random act, they believe that Lewis knew the shooter. So far, no suspect has been identified. Anyone with information should call the Spartanburg Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
