
As the day has went along on Sunday, power outages have increased. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is also reporting numerous wrecks around the Upstate. The Highway Patrol says that their response time is slower than normal, due to the winter storm and increased calls.

As of 1 PM Sunday, Duke Energy was reporting that over 114,000 customers across the Carolinas are without power. Of that 114,000 over 67,000 of those customers are in the Pee Dee area of South Carolina. The City of Florence is accounting for over 1,000 of those customers.
22,000 Duke customers in Western North Carolina are reportedly without power. In the Upstate, Duke is reporting over 4,000 customers without power in Oconee County, over 4,000 in Greenville and 3,000 plus in Anderson County.
Blue Ridge Electric says that 1,500 customers in both the towns of Pickens and Westminster are out as of 1 PM. Below are more photos of snowfall accumulation in Northern Oconee County.
