Prisma Health will no longer offer COVID-19 testing at Greenville Memorial Hospital on Saturdays, effective immediately, because of a recent drop in demand for testing. Its Upstate testing sites will continue to offer provider-ordered testing on week days at its four drive-thru hospital-based sites. Those sites are located at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Oconee Memorial Hospital, Laurens County Hospital and Greer Memorial Hospital. For information on Prisma Health’s testing sites, visit PrismaHealth.org/coronavirus.
Its community-based testing site at Brookwood Church in Simpsonville, which had already limited its operating days due to the drop in demand, has now closed, effective immediately. To access a broad range of other testing sites throughout South Carolina, visit the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control website at https://scdhec.gov/covid19/covid-19-testing-locations. The site lists more than 350 testing sites throughout the state, including many at nearby drug stores. Some DHEC-partnered sites also offer free testing during the week and on the weekend.
