The FDA has now authorized covid vaccines for children under 5 around the country. Prisma Health announced today (Wednesday) that they are now offering the vaccines for small children. In a video conference by Primsa making the announcement, Dr. Anna Kathyrn Burch explained the medical provider's reasoning for it. Burch was then asked on if parents should have their kids vaccinated, if they have already had covid. Dr. Carley Howard-Draddy is a Pediatrician with Prisma in the Upstate and she says vaccines for young children are needed.
Prisma Health says vaccines have arrived and continuing to arrive at many of their pediatric locations around the state.
