A college student organized the event to protest the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe Vs Wade last Friday. A hold on South Carolina's Heartbeat Bill has been lifted by a federal court. The state's new standard prohibits abortion after a heartbeat is detected but does have some exceptions to the statute.

No arrests were reported in the Spartanburg Protest. It marked the 2nd such event since Friday, the 1st was Saturday in Greenville. That rally ended with 6 people being arrested and a use of force by police while dispersing the raucous crowd.
