The 2020 census revealed a population shift within the city, which by law will require adjustments to city council district lines. Each district should contain roughly an equal number of people.

Those redistricting public meetings will be held in each Council District and residents can attend any of the meetings as the information shared will be the same.

The 90 minute meetings will be held September 19 at the Nicholtown Community Center, September 22 at Greenville Technical College, October 3 at the Prisma Health Welcome Center at Unity Park and October 17 at the Bobby Pearse Community Center.

City Council members will make final decisions with input from City residents and staff on how the new lines are drawn. The upcoming meetings are the public's first opportunity to provide input. No draft redistricting maps have yet been drawn.
