A weekend domestic violence incident in the Upstate resulted in the arrest of a repeat offender. Deputies responded to a home on the Spartanburg County side of Greer around 4:30, Saturday afternoon.
When they arrived, a woman told deputies she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, 29 year old Daniel Alejandro Vasquez. Authorities learned that Vasquez was on house arrest for domestic violence against the same victim, last month.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says, Vasquez fled the scene and had cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet. K-9 and Aviation Units were brought into search for the suspect, who was eventually located on Highway 101 and was taken into custody.
Vasquez is charged with 2nd degree domestic violence and violating his home detention.
