Construction on one of the Upstate's busiest stretches of road is set to begin Monday night. The South Carolina Department Of Transportation says that nighttime and intermittent closures are set for I-85 in Greenville County.

The 85 southbound on ramp at exit 56 will be shutdown from 8PM to 6AM. Drivers are encouraged to use the on ramp at Pelham Road exit 54 to merge onto 85.

The DOT has also shut down Country Club Road in Spartanburg between South Pine and Union streets for construction. The road will remain open to local traffic only.
