A female robbery suspect is wanted in Asheville, North Carolina.
Police say the woman held up a convenience store near the 600 block of Swannanoa River Road shortly after midnight Monday into Tuesday, September 16-17, 2024.
Investigators on scene viewed surveillance video that showed the suspect enter with a gun, had the clerk lay on the ground then demanded the register to be opened. The woman left the store with cash, got into a vehicle and headed east.
Authorities are now trying to identify the suspect who is described as a heavy set black woman, wearing all black clothing, a mask and sunglasses at the time of the robbery. Officers say she left the store in a white SUV.
