Rulings have been made concerning organizations named in lawsuits stemming from sexual assault allegations against an Upstate based cheerleading group.
Judges made rulings last week that stem from accusations against Greenville County based Rock Star Cheer. The most recent rulings involved USA Cheer, the U.S. All-Star Federation and Varsity Spirit.
Last week, a judge ruled on a motion that dismissed some of the allegations against the U.S. All Star Federation, but upheld other claims. Varsity Spirit filed a motion to dismiss, most of the claims against them were dismissed, however some did stick including claims of unjust enrichment and gross negligence.
The suits came on after accusations of sexual misconduct were made against Rockstar Cheer and it's Founder Scott Foster. As we previously reported, Foster took his own life last year after learning he was under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security for the sexual misconduct allegations.
