14 people plead guilty to charges of running meth from Mexico into the Upstate, all from behind bars.

The investigation, called "Las Senoritas" found the drug trafficking organization was run by inmates in the Department of Corrections and other women defendants, who fled to Mexico to escape prosecution.

According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, The “Señoritas,” the defendants, and the inmates, coordinated the delivery of methamphetamine from Mexico and its distribution in the Upstate.

Two women, Angela Nicole Welbourn and Taylor Suzanne Oates, dealt the meth out of Airbnb's they were renting throughout Greenville.

The investigation seized over 27 kilograms of meth, a street value of approximately $800,000.00, and nearly 40 guns between February 2021 and September 2023.

The 14 charged with trafficking meth in Pickens County, received sentences ranging from 12 to 20 years.
