The State Attorney General's office reports arrests in two Upstate cases involving theft of funds from elderly victims who had trusted those accused of robbing them.

SCAG Alan Wilson says the Vulnerable Adults and Medicaid Provider Fraud unit has arrested 47 year old Jeanna Avery Stronkowsky of Greer, accusing her of stealing more than $67,000 from a nursing home resident.

Wilson says a joint investigation with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office determined that Stronkowsky her power of attorney, transferring funds from the victim's bank account to hers.

Wilson also says the same enforcement unit is charging Randall Aaron Simmons, 47 years old, and 45 year old Tonya Elizabeth Simmons, both of Anderson with misappropriating nearly $330,000 of the victim's assets. They're also accused of neglect and abuse of the victim.
