A school principal in Western North Carolina has been suspended amidst an ongoing investigation. The Transylvania County School District says Brevard Middle School Principal Tammy Deaver has been suspended with pay.
The district says it launched an investigation into Deaver, Monday. Officials have not released the reason for the investigation, they say they can't comment due to it being a confidential personnel matter.
An acting Interim Principal has been named and will serve in the position until the investigation is complete.
