A search is on for a Midlands man wanted on multiple charges in Oconee County. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says, 38 year old Ralph Jake Goss Jr. of Columbia, is wanted on warrants from the Walhalla Police Department for kidnapping, assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct and a weapons violation.
Those charges stem from an incident Sunday at a business in Walhalla. The Sheriff's Office reports that Goss was spotted around 7:30 Tuesday morning at a home on Heath Road near Westminster. Goss knocked on the door of the home and told the woman who answered it, that he needed help with a flat tire.
The woman called 911 and as deputies arrived, Goss reportedly ran into the woods, nearby. Goss is still at large as of the time of this report. Anyone who comes in contact with him should call 911.
