
The search is on for a suspect in an Upstate murder case. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded the night of July 5th to a home on Laurel Street in Spartanburg on a report of a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies encountered a language barrier.
When a Spanish speaking deputy arrived it was determined not be a domestic disturbance, but was rather a missing persons case. A hispanic man who lived at the house had been missing for about 24 hours at that point. A search ensued for the man, but he still has not been located as the time of this report.
Investigators identified the suspect, as 23 year old Jose Arias-Lopez, who also lived at the home. He has also not been located, Arias-Lopez is wanted for murder and a weapons violation in connection to the case. He's considered armed and dangerous, anyone with info on his whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 888-Crime-SC.
