The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is searching for a suspect that fired on Toccoa Police Monday afternoon.
Police stopped a vehicle driven by 37 year old Montavious Winkfield on Diagonal Street in Toccoa just after 2PM.
Winkfield got out of the vehicle, fired on police and fled on foot. An officer returned fire, but it is not known if Winkfield was hit. There were no injuries reported.
