
The suspect in a shooting yesterday in Oconee County Tuesday, is in custody charged with attempted murder. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says, 39 year old Johnny Lamar Ramey of Seneca was arrested shortly after noon on Tuesday.
Deputies responded to a reported shooting on Red Bird Lane in Seneca. Investigators say the victim told them that they had been in argument with Ramey over stolen goods and money Ramey owed the victim.
Ramey then allegedly fired a shot at the victim, but missed. No injuries were reported in the incident. Ramey is charged with a weapons violation, in addition to attempted murder.
