An Oconee County man who was arrested last week, now faces additional child sex crime charges. As we previously reported, 30 year old Cory Donovan Simpson of Seneca was arrested May 9th on 15 counts of 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators say, he also tried to blackmail several minors with the child sex abuse material that he possessed. Simpson was out on bail from the charges last week and was arrested again Wednesday on three new counts of possessing and distributing child sex abuse material.
The additional charges stem from a joint investigation by the sheriff's offices in Oconee and Anderson Counties, as well as the Department Of Homeland Security.
