This weekend marked a somber event for an Upstate Sheriff's Office. On Sunday, the funeral service was held for fallen Spartanburg County Deputy Austin Aldridge, who shot and killed in the line of duty last Tuesday. Sunday's service was held at The Church At The Mill in Moore. The service featured several speakers, many of them from the Sheriff's Office. Captain Greg Satterfield was among those speakers. Investigator Jason Nix is a former partner of Deputy Aldridge. He spoke and applauded those who responded to the tragic call that resulted in the death of Deputy Aldridge. Sheriff Chuck Wright spoke and encouraged his deputies to "hold the line" in memory of Deputy Aldridge. Below is an excerpt of comments from the service, from the three men previously mentioned.
