
A tragedy unfolded at an Upstate school on Thursday. 12 year old, Jamari Cortez Jackson was shot at Tanglewood Middle School in Greenville. He later died at a nearby hospital. The tragic death of Jackson has again brought up discussions about metal detectors in South Carolina Schools. Upstate activist Traci Fant has been pushing Greenville County Schools specifically to adopt metal detectors. She began pushing that issue in 2016 and in the wake of Jackson's death has once again brought the issue up. Should all SC public schools have metal detectors? Let us know, below.
