There's been much talk lately about biological men being allowed to compete against women in sports. That topic came even more to the forefront when Lia Thomas a biological man who identifies as a woman, won the National Title in a swimming event. Some states including South Carolina have introduced legislation to be ban biological men from competing against women. State legislators in SC voted 82-28 in favor of a bill that makes athletes compete based on the gender listed on their birth certificate. The bill in South Carolina needs one more routine approval before heading to the State Senate. Almost a dozen states have passed similar legislation but that means that over 35 states have not. So for the states that have not done so, do you think female athletes should boycott events that biological men are allowed to compete in?
