This story may prompt you to pay for gas at the station register.
In Anderson County, the Sheriff's Office says skimmers were found at three separate gas stations. Those skimmers could potentially steal your credit card information after you insert the card into the keypad when you pay at the pump.
In this case, the skimmer was found after the gas pump produced an error message and led a technician to finding the skimmer.
The Sheriff's Office said the address of the gas stations are:
3705 Hwy 81 North
3600 Hwy 153
3498 East River Street
Detectives on the case said whether you insert your credit card or use the tap feature, the skimmers can still access your information.
