SLED announces arrest of former worker at Upstate jail

A former employee who worked at an Upstate jail is facing charges after allegedly stealing from her employer. Official say 31 year old, Cassidy Taylor Steiner was a contract employee who worked at the Spartanburg County Jail. She is accused of stealing from her employer to the tune of nearly $15,000 dollars.

SLED says, Steiner is charged with financial card fraud and fraudulent breach of trust. Investigators claim while she was working at the jail, Steiner walked away with cash deposits of totaling over $14,800.


She is also accused of making personal purchases on a card owned by her employer. Steiner was been booked into the same jail, that she once worked at.

SLED has not specified exactly who Steiner was working for or the nature of what she did at the jail.
