An Upstate teenager is in custody after allegedly killing a robbery victim with a machete. SLED says, 18 year old Jaylon Thomas Elmore hit the victim multiple times during a robbery at a home in Abbeville, Wednesday.
The victim suffered wounds to their chest and head and died from injuries suffered in the attack. Elmore is charged with murder, armed robbery and a weapons violation.
Investigators say, he confessed to the crimes and they recovered the machete after he told them where it was. Elmore is currently being held at the Abbeville County Detention Center
