An officer involved shooting in the upstate is under investigation by state law enforcement. Gaffney Police responded to a shooting incident just before 2AM Sunday on West Birnie Street.
An officer heard gunshots when he arrived and exchanged gunfire with multiple suspects before they fled on foot. SLED has been asked to investigate.
No injuries have been reported from the incident. No other details have been released, as of the time of this report.
