A SLED investigation is ongoing after an officer involved shooting in the Upstate. The Greenwood Police Department said Wednesday night, that an officer had been in an exchange of gunfire with a suspect.
The incident happened in the Grendel Mill Village Area of Greenwood. The Police Department says, the suspect was taken into custody and that nobody was injured in the shooting.
They have not released the name of the suspect or any further information regarding the incident, as of the time of this report. SLED's involvement is standard protocol for all officer involved shootings, statewide.
