A Spartanburg County man will spend the next 4 decades behind bars after being convicted of a murder that happened over 3 years ago. 37 year old, Rishard Lewis Geter was found guilty on charges of murder, aggravated breach of peace and a weapons violation in court, Thursday.
The charges stem from a fatal shooting in the Park Hills area of Spartanburg, in November of 2019. Evidence presented court said that Geter shot the victim Jason Eison 7 times, he later died at Spartanburg Regional.
Geter has a documented criminal history that includes convictions for domestic violence, assault and weapons violations. Geter has been sentenced to 40 years in the state prison system for the murder, his sentences on the charges will be served concurrently.
