
An increase in the speed limit on one of Greenville's busiest stretches of highway may help with traffic flow. The speed limit has been moved up from 55 to 65, on I-385 between the Roper Mountain Road and Pleasantburg Drive Exits.

The change comes as part of the SCDOT's 85-385 Gateway Project. DOT Spokesman Pete Poore says the speed limit increase was put in place after traffic study data showed that stretch of 385 could safely support the speed limit increase.
