A woman who had been booked at a Western North Carolina jail, late last week has now died. Officials in Buncombe County say Amy Owenby was booked into the Jail there on outstanding warrants, Friday evening.
Owenby experienced a medical emergency and was taken to Mission hospital, hours later. Officials say, She then died at the hospital, Monday.
The NCSBI has been called into investigate which is standard protocol, statewide in cases like this.
