A suspect is in custody after a chase that started out of state. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded around 11AM Thursday to assist in a pursuit that began in Franklin County, Georgia. The Sheriff’s Office deployed stop sticks to end the vehicle pursuit on I-85 near Exit 32.
The suspect Quartez Barber fled on foot once the vehicle was stopped. With help from a K-9 unit and air support from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, Barber was located and taken into custody on multiple charges.
