A string of fires in Anderson County has one person facing multiple arson charges, while another arson there remains unsolved. The Anderson Police Department says, 20 year old James Steven Fleming is charged with two counts of 2nd degree arson and one count of 3rd degree arson.

Two of those charges stem from fire being set to the Thunderbird Motel in Anderson, twice this week. Firefighters were able to get both fires under control quickly after arriving on scene. The 3rd charge stems from a fire behind a former insurance office at the intersection of Sharpe and Main Street in Anderson.
In the unsolved arson case, the Anderson County Sheriff's Office says a home was set on fire. Investigators say, no one was home during that fire, but the home was destroyed and a family of four was displaced. There's been no word from investigators on whether they think the unsolved case is related to the others. No injuries were reported in any of the fires.
