
A student was arrested Friday morning after making a threat toward an Upstate high school . Greenville County School District Spokesman Tim Waller said in a statement, that a student at Eastside High School in Taylors composed a threatening post toward the school on social media.

The school administration was made aware of the post and immediately contacted the Sheriff's Office. An investigation was launched, the student was taken into custody and is being charged with for the threat. Waller's statement says that "copycat" posts were made and are being investigated.
Lt. Ryan Flood of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office says the student was not found with any weapons when he was searched on campus at Eastside. The student's identity has not been released due to him being 15 year old. This threat comes just over a week after a student was fatally shot at a Greenville middle school.
