Study says SC ranks 2nd lowest nationally for LGBTQ+ equality

A recent study shows that South Carolina ranks as the 2nd worst state for LGBTQ+ Equality.

Out Leadership, a global LGBTQ+ Business Network released its equality index, the rankings are based on the experience LGTBQ+ have working, living and building a family in each state.

The Palmetto State was 50th in last year's index and is ranked 49th on this year's list. Arkansas sits 50th this year after being 46th in 2022. Just ahead of South Carolina this year are South Dakota, Tennessee and Louisiana. As expected, the top 5 in this year's rankings are all states led by Democrats.
