The suspect in a shooting late last week that left his girlfriend critically injured is now in custody. Spartanburg County Deputies responded to a reported shooting around 11:30 last Thursday night, at the Scotchman Store on Bryant Road in Spartanburg.

Sheriff's Office Lt. Kevin Bobo says deputies found a woman there that had been shot in the head. The woman was able to tell deputies that her boyfriend, 40 year old David Solis of Spartanburg shot her. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and miraculously survived her critical injuries.
Warrants were issued for Solis on charges of Attempted Murder, a Weapons Violation, and Shooting Into A Vehicle. After searching for the suspect on Friday, Solis turned himself in on the charges.
