Georgia officials have now identified the suspect that was taken into custody after a school shooting in Barrow County, Wednesday morning. As We Previously Reported, deputies responded to Apalachee High School in Winder around 1030AM.

The accused shooter 14 year old Colt Gray was taken into custody after 4 people were killed and 9 others were wounded. Officials do not know how Gray was able to get the gun on campus.

A School Resource Officer reportedly was able to convince Gray to surrender after opening fire, thus preventing there from being more victims. The GBI is working to figure out if Gray had specifically targeted any of the victims.

Barrow County will keep all of its schools closed for the remainder of the week. The GBI also says that the social media rumors that was more than one shooting suspect involved are false and Gray is the only suspect.
