A suspect is dead after a deputy involved shooting in the Upstate, over the weekend. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded around 2:15AM Saturday morning to a report that a man was threatening people at K-Mart Plaza in Greenville.
The Sheriff's Office says the suspect then presented a weapon and a deputy involved shooting transpired. The suspect was pronounced dead after being shot and transported to the hospital.
SLED is investigating the incident which is standard protocol in officer involved shootings. The Deputies involved have been placed on paid administrative leave. The identity of the deceased has no been released, as of the time of this report.
