A suspect is shot and killed in a shootout with law enforcement at an upstate night club. Greenville County Deputies and Greenville Police responded to a call about an armed man in the Trophy Club parking lot on Airport Road around 12:40AM, Friday morning.
The suspect was said to have multiple firearms and had fired shots in the parking lot of the night club. When law enforcement arrived, shots were fired and the suspect was injured. He was taken to a Prisma Health hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Sheriff's office in a media release confirmed one of their deputies had fired their weapon during the incident. The name of the suspect has not been released. Sheriff Hobart Lewis said no deputies were injured, he released the video below from the scene, Friday morning.
SLED is investigating which is standard procedure in officer involved shootings.
