An arrest has been made on South Carolina's Coastline after a man was fatally shot in the Upstate, this past weekend. As we previously reported, the Union County Sheriff's Office responded to the 1500 Block of Whitmire Highway, Saturday afternoon.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was airlifted to an area hospital, where he later died. The Coroner's Office identified the victim as 46 year old, Jamie Tyrone Brannon of Union.
On Wednesday, the suspect was apprehended in Myrtle Beach. 26 year old, Gerald Djuan Hughes of Union is charged with murder and a weapons violation following the fatal shooting.
Brannon is set to be extradited back to Union County.
