Officials say the man accused of killing a woman who was found dead at a home in a gated Upstate community has a long, violent, history.
As we previously reported, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Velo Way in Travelers Rest where the boy of 40 year old, Colleen D'Ortona was discovered, Tuesday morning.
The suspect 39 year old, Michael Clarkson was arrested several hours later in Anderson County and is charged with murder. 38 year old, real estate agent Cherith Crown was also arrested in connection to the case. She's charged with obstructing justice and accessory after the fact.
Both Clarkson and Crown have been denied bond. Crown has no criminal record. However, SLED says Clarkson was indicted for criminal domestic violence five times from 2005 through 2009. He also has been charged with grand larceny, assault, drug possession and other crimes.
