An Upstate man suspected in a rash of burglaries across three states is now in custody. The Greenwood County Sheriff's Office says, 35 year old Christopher Taylor of Mauldin has been arrested and faces multiple counts of burglary, following convenience store break-ins around that area.
He's also a suspect in over 5 dozen similar incidents in various parts of South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. Taylor was identified after a robbery last month. Deputies in Calhoun County say Taylor fled the scene following a robbery there. He later claimed his car had been stolen in Richland County, authorities say that claim turned out to be false.

Taylor also has been charged with multiple counts of burglary in Laurens County. He's suspected of robberies in various other Upstate counties including Greenville, Pickens, Anderson and Oconee.
