Suspects Arrested in Simpsonville Car Break-Ins

Suspects nabbed after multiple Simpsonville car break-ins.

Since January of this year, the Simpsonville Police Department has been flooded with calls and investigations surrounding car break-ins and vehicle thefts within the city limits.  The hardest hit residential areas include those off Harrison Bridge Road and Grandview Drive... even an Independent/Assisted living facility.

Announced May 10, 2024, three suspects have been arrested. A media release by Simpsonville Chief, Michael Hanshaw, said the three juvenile suspects were arrested and charged with autobreaking, theft, larceny and "other related offenses that have affected approximately 46 victims."

Two of the suspects have been transported to the Dept. of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, the third was released to a parent.

The Department is asking anyone with information concerning these break-ins and thefts, to contact the Simpsonville Police Department at 864-967-9536 (non-emergency).
