Four suspects in an Upstate armed robbery were arrested Wednesday after leading police on a chase. The Spartanburg Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery on Southport Road, around 12:45 Wednesday afternoon. A victim reported that three masked suspects entered their apartment armed with handguns. The victim told police he knew one of the three and identified him.
The suspects fled the scene prior to police arriving and their vehicle was seen going toward John B White Sr. Boulevard. The vehicle was pulled over on I-26 but the driver took back off and led police on a chase.
The pursuit lasted until the suspect driver crashed in front of 1st Baptist Church of North Spartanburg. After the crash, three male suspects fled on foot. A female passenger stayed in the vehicle. The three male suspects were eventually located and were taken into custody.
The suspects have been identified as 24 year old Marquis Harold, 20 year old Braelyn Christopher Kline and 18 year old Jaiden Douglas Mccoy. A 16 year old girl was also arrested but has not been identified due to her age. All four are charged with kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary and a weapons violation.
