A teenager who was wanted after a shooting in Western North Carolina earlier this month left 9 people injured, is now in custody. As we previously reported, 19 year old Calobe Leo Workman was wanted in connection to a shooting in Asheville, March 8th.
When officers arrived at the scene they saw a large group running from the scene. Police say 7 people were hit with gunfire, one person was assaulted and left with a concussion, and one person was injured while trying to run to safety.
All of the victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries at Mission Hospital. Workman was identified as the suspect, police then began to search for him.
Police say, Workman turned himself in Monday and is being held in Buncombe County.
