A teenager is in custody after a fatal Upstate shooting. As we previously reported, 18 year old Alexis Griffin died after being shot while in the front seat of an SUV in Gaffney, Wednesday night.
Two suspects were reportedly seen in the area where the shots were fired. Griffin died just before 1130 PM Wednesday after her boyfriend drove her to Cherokee Medical Center.
On Thursday, the Gaffney Police Department arrested a 16 year old boy in connection to the shooting. The suspect has not been identified due to him being a minor.
The 16 year old suspect is charged with murder, attempted murder and a weapons violation. He is being held at the Department of Juvenile Justice facility in Columbia
